National Three Peaks Challenge

The National Three Peaks Challenge is a popular hill walking challenge, covering the length of the UK - Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales. To complete the National Three Peaks Challenge all three peaks need to be ascended and decended within 24 hours.

Rules

The National ThreThe National Three Peaks must be completed in 24 hours - in order to do so, you must reach the peak of each of the three mountains, and return to the base. Varying rules exist, with some touching the water at either end of the challenge in order to complete it successfully.

Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

The Yorkshire Three Peaks is carried out in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and involves climbing Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The Yorkshire Three Peaks is generally completed within 12 hours, and can be seen as a good precursor to the National Three Peaks.
